Mourning is not a typical topic in our culture. We tend to avoid mourning or do our best to get through our grief. But there is something more to it, something that makes the phrase “good mourning” give us pause. Jesus tells us that those who mourn (both over personal loss and the sin of the world) will be comforted in God’s kingdom. What does this mean, and what does it look like?
