Happy Friday Calvary Summitview!
As many of us look forward to the weekend, I pray that you can look back on this week and see God’s faithfulness in so many ways. What a gracious, loving God we serve!
Here are a few things going on at Calvary Summitview we want you to be aware of.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Beginning Monday, October 9th, we will begin hosting a women’s Bible study at Calvary Summitview! This is a great way to connect with other women at the church as we study God’s Word together. If you have questions, please email Heather at inthekingsway@yahoo.com. Come and join!
COMMUNITY GROUPS!
Community groups are up and running! This is a great way to get involved at Calvary Summitview. A core commitment of Calvary Summitview is to grow together… and that is exactly what happens in community groups! We will meet one night a week for a couple hours of eating a meal together and studying the Bible together. This Fall, we have THREE community groups – one on Sunday nights, and two on Thursday nights! If you have questions or want more information, please contact Aaron at aaron@thecalvary.org.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY HELP NEEDED
Wondering where you might be able to help at Calvary Summitview? Children’s ministry volunteers are needed! We are looking specifically for 3-4 people who would be willing to help serve in the nursery one time a month. Are older kids more your style? Then we could still use your help teaching the preschool or elementary classes. Lessons are provided and it’s a great way to both serve and grow. Please contact Daniel Goss at daniel.goss22@gmail.com or (719) 685-6153 if you would like more information or to sign up!
MIDDLE SCHOOL EVENT NEXT TUESDAY
What a great chance we have to serve and love the students of Newton Middle School! We are going to be doing just that this upcoming Tuesday, 10/10, from 2:30-4:30 pm at the church. This will be a time of fun games and getting to know the kids who spend so much of their time right across from Calvary Summitview. Even if you don’t have a middle school child, please invite your friends, family, and neighbors that do! If you have more questions, please contact Gabe at gabe@thecalvary.org.
ONLINE GIVING IS AVAILABLE
One of the best parts of the technological advances of this time is the chance to give a financial offering to the church online! If you forget to write a check on Sunday, or (like some of us) you can’t remember the last time you wrote a check (insert millennial generation joke right here), here is a great, easy way to give of your resources to what God is doing at Calvary Summitview. Follow this link to our church website and follow the instructions there.
I can’t wait to dive into Romans 6 with you all this next week. I pray that you can spend some time preparing yourself for our worship gathering this coming Sunday. What a sign of God’s grace that we can come together to worship Him!
In the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
